Licensing FAQ
The questions designers ask most, answered without legal jargon.
Do I own an asset after I download it?
No. Luxe Elements retains ownership. Your membership grants you a license to use the asset according to the applicable terms.
Can I use assets for client projects?
Designer and Studio members may use eligible assets in client work according to their license. Explorer is for personal, educational and portfolio use.
Can I give the PNG to my client?
No. You can deliver the finished composition, rendering, presentation or other permitted finished work, but not the standalone Luxe Elements source file.
Can I sell a mood board I created?
Yes, under an eligible commercial license, when Luxe Elements assets are incorporated into your own finished design.
Can I use assets on Pinterest or Instagram?
Yes, according to your applicable license.
Can I use assets in advertising?
Designer and Studio members may use eligible assets in permitted commercial advertising.
Can I resell a Luxe Elements asset?
No.
What if I change the color or modify the PNG?
Minor modifications do not turn the underlying Luxe Elements asset into your intellectual property, and they do not allow you to resell it as a standalone asset.
Can I upload the files to another asset library?
No.
Can I use assets in Canva?
Yes, for creating permitted finished designs. Do not distribute templates where the underlying Luxe Elements source asset can be extracted and independently reused.
Can I use assets after canceling?
Completed projects properly created while your membership was active remain licensed. New projects using paid assets require an eligible active membership.
Can I re-download something I already downloaded?
Yes, subject to Luxe Elements account policies. Re-downloading a previously licensed asset does not consume another monthly download credit.
Can my client reuse the PNG in another project?
Not unless the client independently obtains an appropriate Luxe Elements license.
Can I share my membership?
No. Memberships are licensed to individual account holders unless Luxe Elements introduces a team or agency plan.
Can my employees use my Studio membership?
Not by default. A future Team or Agency plan may provide multiple seats.
Can I use Luxe Elements assets to train an AI model?
Not as bulk training data and not as part of a competing generative-asset system. Ordinary AI-assisted editing tools inside your design software are fine.
What happens if an asset disappears from the library?
A previously valid license for a completed project is not invalidated simply because Luxe Elements later removes the asset from the active catalog.
What license did I receive?
Every download records its license. You can see it in My Library → Download History → View License, and download a license receipt for your records.
